Thank you to Little Amal for walking with us to school 💛CAP UCLA was so honored to join The Walk on part of her nation-wide trek. Little Amal - whose name means 'hope' in Arabic - is a 12 foot puppet of a refugee Syrian child who has traveled to 13 countries. Students at UCLA Community School honored Amal with poppy flowers — a symbol of peace and resilience. Little Amal and the Giant Fox We were delighted to see expert puppet maker Peter Morton's amazing scaled up Fox mingle with Little Amal on her adventures. Little Amal is a giant puppet of a 10 year old Serian Refugees which was used as the centrepiece of a performance art project called The Walk in 2021.
