Extremely easy Tomato Pastina recipe!! 1. Dice half an onion and sauté it in two tablespoons olive oil over medium heat until it starts to lose its color, about 5 minutes. Add 1 clove crushed garlic. 2. Add 2 tbsp tomato paste or 1 cup crushed tomatoes/sauce/passata. Let simmer for ten minutes. Add 2 cups chicken broth and 1/2 cup Pastina. Cook until pasta is done. 3. Turn off heat and stir in 1 tbsp butter and 1/2 cup grated Parmesan.
