Mar 7, 2021 · The BB734A / BB735A is the best bang for your buck bass out there currently IMO. Construction quality, feel, comfort, weight, and of course sound are top notch. It has a very snappy and immediate response, and has an open and zingy sound without sounding brittle.

Aug 1, 2005 · I have a BB734a that I use for all P-bass duties. Love it. Well-made, really comfortable. Neck is somewhere between a P and a J neck, little closer to the J. Overall it's a little on the bright side with rounds, but Pressurewounds tames that perfectly. My two main players are that and a StingRay. Between them they do pretty much everything I want.

Dec 6, 2011 · I'm SO late to this thread but I just picked up the BB734a yesterday in black- its amazing. its fun to play, lighter than the fender. The neck is an in between jazz and p. Sound wise - extremely versatile. It has a great P bass growl sound on top of many others! I've left Fender and moved to Yamaha and I don't think I'm gonna look back.

Nov 30, 2008 · The yamaha bb734a would be a good choice. this bass is incredibly versatile. it has a passive/active switch. which makes it very useful for having the best of both worlds. plus it's handy for if the battery is drained, you can switch from active to passive. also they're very useful for any genre. including metal.

May 21, 2008 · Is there a Yamaha BB club? There is now! I own a BB435x, and it’s a nice instrument, but I would spend more if possible. The other model, the P35 is on a whole other level. I would get one of those if possible. Having said that, some like the pickups and the chrome and the look of the 434 better!
