In order 1st MS361 (pro power/wht) 2nd MS260 (pro light weight) 3rd MS280CQS (neat features) 4th MS390 (Value) I thought it was going to be a Husq, and a 357XP UNTIL I held both side by side with bar/ chain. Jul 1, 2008 · The Stihl MS-361 is also an excellent saw and would be my choice of the mid sized Stihls. Your 262XP can also be re-built so I would keep it If I was you. It was another great saw, especially if you have gotten 16 years out of it. New crank seals, hoses, piston ring, carb rebuild and who knows how many more years of service you could get out of it.

Stihl 361 kill switch in Chainsaws - The Forestry Forum
Apr 4, 2015 · I need some help with my Stihl 361 shut off. I took apart the saw to replace the intake boot. Both wires that make up the kill switch popped out of place, including the oddly shaped contact spring. I can't figure out how they go back together. Wondering if someone could take a picture of their 361 kill switch and wires that make it up? Thanks

Decompression valve failure - Stihl MS390 - The Forestry Forum
Sep 16, 2012 · The trees were only 8" accross the base, if I strike anything big I just pull out the magnum. I normally dont use the decompression valve either, I might plug it. My main concern is if it happened on my 390 it could happen to my 660, I need the decomp valve on this saw to save the pull start. cheers.

You're comparing saws from two different classes, a 79cc saw vs a 59cc saw. The MS460 is a closer comparison to the Dolmar 7900. Those two saws have similar displacement and power.
