I did drive my old Ford Taurus Stationwagon for years with some rust, but the rocker panels are now gone underneath, and there is a hole in the floor near the front passenger seat. The heater is also gone. This alone is a $600.00 repair.

Interior space is comparable to the Toyota, but much better appointed; less "economy-car" appearance. Highway mileage (observed) is in the low 30's. Plus the on-line owner/reviewers raved about the car.

The SUVs are primary for preference/comfort/space. We will aim to wear these out --- after paying them off. We don't aim to buy new cars everytime we pay one off.

Nov 28, 2012 · My last two trucks have been 4.8l v8s with 3.42 highway gears and have given me mid 20s driving highway and mid teens in town, sadly better then a lot of smaller lighter SUVs and cars. Also the towing limits in the owners manual are not law so unlike payload you can exceed them, trailer brakes are needed and tranny cooler is a good idea.

Feb 4, 2022 · So many SUVs and trucks and minivans in my city means I get a lot of headlights straight in my eyes when I drive at night. I'm 6'4 I don't like getting down into cars. I admit there is a reasonable case for the 2-row cross over, like a RAV4, CRV, or Forester, which are basically just tall Corollas, Civics, and Imprezas.
