Can someone please explain the whole RAL8000 thing?

The following three digits are assigned to differentiate colors inside of the master colors numbered 1-9. RAL8000 was first used by the Afrika Korps during World War 2, and later by the Bundeswehr.

Here is The tricky bit if finding someone who will sell the handguard (part number 223453) and the optic mount (part number 223483), since HK USA is likely not importing them yet.
