WEBFeb 1, 2024 — Not only that, but Dreams just kinda doesn’t make sense to use, its too complex for the average person to use, and its too “lite” for the tinkerers/actual devs to use, it just appealed to an extremely niche middle ground of people. WEBMar 10, 2023 — Dreams runs on PS5 in backwards-compatibility mode. As in, it runs the PS4 version software. You can use the old PSVR and moves on the PS5 with Dreams. You need to hook up the old camera though, which means you need a special adapter from Sony. You can move around in 3D with the normal controller too.

WEBNov 11, 2020 — definite frame rate and resolution improvement. In the Dream I am making, on PS4 Pro it was dropping resolution and frame rate as I got close to the thermo limits, on PS5 it is back up to max 60 FPS and res is sharp as a pin. Thermo limits are the same as when on PS4 pro. Loading (which was fast anyway) is even faster.
Should PS4 be able to play High-end PS5 Dreams creations?
WEBThe thermo doesn't need to change, as long as PS5 version is kept seperate from PS4 version of Dreams. PS5 version will of course still be able to play PS4 Dreams, just not the other way around. This would be beneficial to the PS4 players as they won't need to see any PS5 Dreams on their version, hence they won't feel 'left out'.

WEBJan 19, 2023 — My easy answer is PSVR 2 can only play PS5 made VR levels! Dreams PS5 + PSVR 2 will need to have its own separate version starting a new slate. PS4 users would be cut off, unless they make a mode in the game that allows you to still make PS4 levels.

However for me the importance of a native PS5 version is not so much what new features it has (like full DualSense support), but its potential for future development.
