Nikon F6 focusing screen for manual focusing
Feb 3, 2023 · Nikon made several manual focus screens for the F6. I have the standard screen which came with the camera - which actually I find excellent to manual focus - and the optional one with the diagonal split screen. Check places like ebay, KEH etc for that. Don't mess around with screens that were not meant for the camera.

Sep 12, 2016 · According to Nikon Dealers, the F6 is no more, production of new models has ceased and those who are lucky enough to buy one new, it will be previously unsold stock. The F6 focussing and exposure is without doubt the pinacle for film cameras. My opinion for mine is virtually faultless on both counts and there is little that it can be improved upon.

Feb 15, 2017 · Nikon USA will NOT service non USA serial number F6s. Private service companies in the USA can not service the F6 since Nikon will not sell them the necessary equipment. I purchased two F6's used and made sure they were USA numbers. I shoot both F5's and F6's. On my chromes, the F6 is slightly better, maybe 5 to 10%. Anything else hard to tell.

Nov 29, 2017 · Truth is the Nikon F6 was a work in progress like all its predecessors, but other technologies resulted in it being the last in the line. DSLR cameras did a lot of the things film cameras had been aiming for better, including faster AF, virtually unlimited image storage capacity and superior metering.

Sep 12, 2016 · My point is that Nikon is now only releasing lenses with the E designation so they will not work with the full range of f-stops with even the F6 body and the new 105mm f/1.4 AF E lens looks extremely appealing to me to use with Ilford FP-4 film loaded.

Sep 6, 2010 · Nikon service centers(and indie Nikon repair shops)can indeed read shutter actuations on F5 and F6 bodies--a feature that goes back at least to the N90s/F90x. Used F6s tend to be pricier and harder to find than the better-selling F5. You shouldn't have much trouble finding a clean, low-rollage F5 at a fair price.

Feb 14, 2018 · Nikon F6, Sigma Art 50 1.4, Fuji C200. I love Fuji C200 and especially love that many regard it with disdain as a throw away film. Keeps it cheap for me! Dead Link Removed Focus is quick, handling is fine as the F6 is a big, fat camera. I had used the Sigma dock to calibrate the lens to my D850, but this knocked the focus off on the F6.
