Feb 21, 2013 · 1,987 Posts. It should start easier with less kick back and have a better idle. DLE uses a RCexl ignition that is made to be set at 28-30 degrees before top dead. Set at 35 the engine will not idle as smooth and could over heat in the right conditions. Milton.

Apr 23, 2013 · DLE 20.. and yeah, I just split the difference between servo linkage ratio and some throttle curve.., I think simply added around -75% expo to throttle with Futaba 8FG. 1/8or so open butterfly on the thing is like half throttle RPM's on these things, stock carbs.

Sep 22, 2016 · DLE 111 vs DLE 120. I can't believe this topic has not been asked. I'm build a larg BF109E. So I'm stuck with very few options. It will be around 65 pounds and 130in wing span. We can fit a DLE 111 and only motors with angled plugs like DLE. It was flown with a DLE 111 and was weak/ not to bad. As a DLE 120 is the same width it makes a good option.

DLE30 ignition problem - FlyingGiants
Jul 1, 2019 · 7,684 Posts. There is absolutely nothing special about the DLE 30 ignition. Any standard RCEXL ignition with the proper cap will work on that engine. The RCXP ignition from RC extreme power would also be a good choice. The only DLE ignition that was a real oddball was the one used on the early DLE 20.

Mar 4, 2013 · 1,931 Posts. I have one and it is more powerful than the 30. I also have an MLD 35 which is the same power as the DLE. Same weight too. I prefer the MLD though as its side exhaust and fits my model easier than the rear dle. The motor box design makes rear exhaust a little tricky. The dle would be great if it fits the model you want it for.
