Mar 27, 2025 · The Alliance State Forum is an open discussion with the leadership of Colorado state departments and members of Alliance. This is an opportunity to collaboratively share information, network, and come together to strengthen services and supports to people with IDD.

In 1963, Colorado created a community-centered system to manage and provide supports and services for Colorado’s citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. This system includes locally accountable, nonprofit organizations called Community Centered Boards (CCBs) as the entry points for services.

Kris Housel serves on the Board of Directors of The Arc of Northeast Colorado and also serves on the Board of Directors of The Arc of Colorado. Kris embodies the value of self-advocacy in all that he does to support people with IDD in his community, across the state and our great nation.
