Neutral Janet is a character in The Good Place, played by D'Arcy Carden. Neutral Janet is a Janet designed to be neither pleasant nor unpleasant, but completely neutral, and operates in the Accounting Department.

Janets are a type of afterlife beings. They exist for the purpose of serving denizens of The Afterlife and are stored in the Neutral Zone. They are neither biological beings nor robots. Janets have all knowledge of existence while in The Afterlife and can summon objects at will.

May 21, 2023 · Neutral Janets are designed for administrative tasks and help celestial beings, rather than to assist humans. Adding a Janet might also upset the nature of the Medium place, since a Janet will still do their best to deliver what is asked.

For the episode, Carden plays a wide range of characters, including her normal character, each of the four humans as a Janet, a "Neutral Janet" in Accounting, and one scene in which she plays Eleanor pretending to be Jason. [3]

Dec 7, 2018 · Neutral Janet is in last place because Neutral Janet sucks. Even Bad Janet is better than Neutral Janet, which seems impossible because Bad is right there in Bad Janet’s name, and yet, is true.

She is capable of throwing shade when she dubs Neutral Janet as the "blank sheep" of the Janets. She also gets emotional in Chapter 37 when Tahani apologises to her.

She wasn't in the medium place but what did Neutral Janet do? No. The Medium Place wasn't sophisticated enough to need a Janet of its own, since it was only the one house and person for a long time.
