Jul 15, 2023 · Toshinden's appeal was its presentation, specifically the fact that you could move in 3D space and the fact that it had texture mapped polygons, as opposed to the flat shaded stuff of virtua fighter. I got the PS1 on launch and Toshinden shortly thereafter. It definitely had a nice "wow!" factor going for it.

The launch titles together with the new tech, first model of the best controller designs of all time and a new company, new startup screen. It was pretty magical. Anyways, 3 games, Ridge Racer, ESPN Extreme Games and Battle Arena Toshinden.

Jun 19, 2022 · I remember watching the anime way back when i could rent it. The Sofia vs. Eiji fight was the only thing I remember from it, but it was a good movie. I didn't even know Masami Obari worked on it. It would explain why the fights in it reminded me of Fatal Fury TMP. Thanks for hitting me in the feels now :)
