Sep 17, 2024 · After installing iOS 18 on my iPhone 15 max pro, the Apple maps app running in Carplay keeps resetting the control head on my 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. Changing cable, removing and reinstalling has not corrected the issue for me. The only things I have not tried yet is restoring the infotainment system to factory defaults and resetting the iPhone.

I have an alpine aftermarket radio and if I choose the iphone via usb as an ipod I can benefit of all the eq or MX settings tweaks alpine offer.

Feb 24, 2020 · macrumors 65816. If you have tethering on your cell plan you could set up the car iPhone so that it connects to your personal hotspot from your pocket iPhone. Then iCloud syncing of texts/calls/etc. should work without any issues! In my opinion there isn't a compelling reason to do this other than just for fun.
