The Clyfford Still Museum is located in Denver’s Golden Triangle Creative District, next to the Denver Art Museum. The Clyfford Still Museum is only 0.6 miles from the Colorado Convention Center, just a 12-15 minute walk if you are in town for a conference.

The exhibition, Held Impermanence (Artists Select: Katherine Simóne Reynolds), is open at the Clyfford Still Museum. We highly encourage visitors to purchase general admission tickets online before visiting the Museum. Advance purchase is required for all groups of eight or more.

The Clyfford Still Museum broke ground on its new home in December 2009 and opened its doors to the public on November 18, 2011, reintroducing the life and work of one of America’s most significant yet least understood artists.

The Clyfford Still Museum is a dense, cantilevered two-story building of richly worked concrete deriving its presence from the earth. The two-story, 28,500-square-foot building was designed by Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works Architecture specifically to display Clyfford Still’s work.

Clyfford Still (1904–1980) had a unique artistic vision and was unwilling to compromise it for money or recognition. As he evolved as an artist, Still’s works transitioned from recognizable images and landscapes to more abstract shapes, colors, and lines to express ideas and feelings on huge canvases.
