Mar 13, 2022 · Experiences with tooth problems concurrent with Zometa treatments. I have one more Zometa infusion in June (completing 3 recommended years). I have some serious tooth issues. One lower tooth broke at the root and upon x-ray discovered that the entire bottom row has an issue in each tooth. Had no problems until I had Covid in Feb.

Apr 20, 2024 · My husband just had a 3rd (monthly) infusion of Zometa. I understand it takes full effect after 4 infusions, and the doc is talking about continuing after that. Hubby is 74, was diagnosed in August 2023 (Gleason 3+3, PSA 22). We learned in November that PC spread to L5 spine, plus small amounts on skull and right hip.

Oct 8, 2023 · My oncologist recommended I get Zometa infusions of 4mg every 6 months for 3 years. Saying it decreases mortality and metastasis in the bones. I’m stage 1 IDC, peanut sized tumor on right breast, grade 3, no lymph involvement. I later got a DEXA scan which showed osteopenia in both hips, lower spine is very strong though.

I found a number of conversations for you in several support groups within Connect regarding Zometa for preventing bone loss. So you may see discussion in the Breast Cancer group, for instance.

Jun 13, 2019 · Thought I had posted this earlier, but it has disappeared. Anyway, my oncologist’s instruction sheet mentions to take Claritin daily 1 week prior and 1 week following Zometa infusion, Tylenol 650 mg. after for pain, lots of water days before, of, and after infusion. The water I had read about in other posts, never saw mention of Claritin.

Jun 13, 2019 · He spent the time w/ me explaining estrogen levels in regard to my taking Anastrozole. He went over my bone density current test as well the summary I wrote up of my history of bone density tests, do he could easily see the numbers snd changes. I felt he was thorough and concertos me. He recommended options & recommended Zometa infusion.
