I've been using the sleep med zaleplon (Sonata) to get high rather than help me sleep. It doesn't actually put me to sleep if I take it in the daytime. I would actually like to do this less often and use less of it. I'm not trying to get higher. One problem is that the high is very very short and is followed by depression.
Benzos Zaleplon(Sonata) is trippy. Great recreational drug!
Aug 19, 2010 · Zaleplon is like heaven, especially snorted, all the colours get very intense, my yellow light bulb would be like the light to fixate upon to go to dreamland. Unfortunately it's only good for those having issues falling asleep, I was up 3 hours later and trying more didn't work really, had to wait a day.

Sep 6, 2010 · zaleplon is one of the "z-drugs", like ambien and lunesta. they are more selective at GABA-a receptors, they affect the hypnotic and amensia parts(the same ones that benzos do) but have little effect on the anti-anxiety and muscle relaxant parts. unlike benzos, z-drugs are only perscribed as hypnotics.

Jan 16, 2022 · In tests of memory/learning and psychomotor skills, 10mg zaleplon had no effects beyond placebo even at the 1.25hr mark! 20mg did have measurable effects at the 1.25hr mark, but they were significantly milder than 20mg zolpidem and had completely disappeared in the tests given after 8.25 hours, when 20mg zolpidem was still impairing.

Jan 8, 2011 · Here is the difference: Zaleplon is structurally similar to benzodiazepine but it lacks certain properties. It is often called a Z-benzodiazepine. The difference is that benzodiazepines are "non selective" to the GABA-A receptor and have anxiolytic (anti-anxiety), muscle relaxant and hypnotic properties.

The CR is less recreational because the speed of onset is reduced. The speed at which a drug reaches its peak blood lelvels is a significant factor in its abuse potential.

Eszopiclone has the best binding profile to me, Ambien (zolpidem) and Sonata (zaleplon) are only selective for the a1 subunits of benzodiazepine receptors, taking away muscle relaxation and anxiety relief in turn a harder kick (they're even capable of giving rushes).
