Xfinity Data Usage Higher than local measurement
Oct 13, 2024 · Xfinity reports 394 GB. used. This is a disturbing discrepancy. Eero gives me very granular reporting but Xfinity only gives me the monthly total so I cannot probe details. I would love to hear from Xfinity and also from anyone else who might have the ability to compare a local measurement with that reported by Xfinity.

Sep 19, 2023 · In addition to the additional data, the xfinity assistant on the app seems to be broken in reporting data usage. It now is showing DOUBLE what is actually used. I called customer care, they told me I've used about 300 for the month so far. The Xfinity assistant app shows over 600 and it is showing double for previous months as well.

Sep 4, 2023 · Interestingly, the data use on the mobile app shows different numbers than the website, but still over. My modem reports 192G data the last 7 days. The Xfinity website shows 449G. I went to the Xfinity store this afternoon, and their internal system showed 232G for the last 7 days (still about 40G over what my modem says).

Without changing online behavior, my usage spiked to 600GB in December and over 1,250 so far in January. I have spent 9 hours with service techs from level 1 to level 3 security.

Xfinity suggested we update the modem and swore we would have higher speed and better coverage with unlimited data usage. Speed is not faster. Data usage is accelerating.
