Feb 18, 2025 · Xera Plants is a retail plant nursery and grower based in Portland, Oregon. Our goal is to inspire gardeners to create diverse, ecologically sound landscapes suited to our climate. We emphasize the use of low water plants, west coast native plants and plants native to a similar winter wet/summer dry climate as our own.

Xera Plants shop is open Thursday-Saturday 10:00-5:00. Not all plants in the catalog are currently in stock -See our home page for our current availability list and winter ordering info.

Jul 27, 2017 · These guys know their plants and for the Pacific Northwest, this tree/shrub cannot be beat if you have a hot dry location with great drainage. Evergreen, exfoliating bark, leaves of all shapes and flowers that bumblebees love (in February, too!) . . . and a West Coast native plant.

Xera Plants Shop mostly serves as an outlet for all the awesome plants they grow at their nursery just outside of town. It's not so much a full-service garden center, so no African violet soil.

Check out Xera’s offerings at local retailers or spring plant sales (like the HPSO’s plant sale every April).
