Feb 8, 2008 · most of what i had was covered with 3/8", including 1/0 power wire. the 3/4" flex leaves a lot of slack around 1/0. You can use it on 4 gauge too, but it's a little loose. 1/4" will work on 4 gauge. I used 1/8" for covering 16 gauge speaker wire.

Aug 3, 2018 · A single 4awg wire with a length of 2 feet will drop around 0.1v at 200A, which is around 1/3(ish) the drop the 1/0 will contribute in a 20 foot round trip (+Bat to amp, - to ground, chassis to the point where the 4awg is connected...this is just a rough estimate of the lengths you might typically use).

As a matter of fact, I put a little glue in the grommet valley when installing it, so when I was pulling the wire in & out to get the perfect length, I had to keep spraying the wire w/ soap mixture because it didn't want to just pull out, the fit it really snug.
