Where to sell vintage cameras? | The Photography Forum
Dec 23, 2005 · From a sellers point of view, you will typically get a bit less but you sell the equipment faster and with less hassle. As for the researching on the internet, there's not one location for all vintage cameras. Typically you'll find a website that focuses on one type or brand. I usually start with google and read anything I can find.
Old cameras are they worth anything? | The Photography Forum
Apr 7, 2015 · Sometimes people sell lower value cameras as a lot (as a way to get rid of them?? lol). Old point 'n shoots really don't have much if any value, but the Canons would have some value, people seem to like the AE-1. That's a nice looking camera, and sometimes people want the vintage straps too.
How much is an old Minolta worth? | The Photography Forum
Feb 19, 2008 · It's worth as much as any other good paperweight or or bookend! No, just kidding... I think it depends on the demand for it. I recently sold my old Canon F1 with a FD 50mm and got a very good price for it (in the hundreds). Follow the above advice - check ebay, KEH, craigslist, or maybe even a local camera show/swap meet.
Does anyone buy 35mm slr's anymore | The Photography Forum
Feb 11, 2013 · Very few 35mm SLR cameras have value ... especially if build between 1970 to current. It's the old stuff that is in demand ... or the very unique. I sold my film stuff years ago ... and now I can buy it back for a fraction of the price.
Old Camera Value? - The Photography Forum
Nov 13, 2010 · My grandmother came across an old camera and was wondering what the value of it is. On the camera it says: made BUSCH for (unreadable) American Bolex Stillwell Corp and then on the inside it says "Busch Pressman". On the lense it says: no 31 Kodak Anastigmat F-4.5 5 1/2 In. No 31 - 1638 Compur
Old Box Camera Identification? | The Photography Forum
May 14, 2018 · Hi guys, I'm rather new to the camera collecting scene. I was very happy to find what I thought was a Brownie No. 2 in an antique shop down the way and was looking forward to shooting some pictures with it. However, when I got the camera home, it seems that the camera isn't a Brownie at all. I...
Old flash with new camera? - The Photography Forum
Jun 13, 2014 · At most, an old flash can do Manual flash (no modern digital TTL), and/or maybe auto self metered flash. This old one however, I think it may offer three choices for auto. That's how we worked in the 1970s. And manual flash on this one appears to offer only full and 1/16 power level. It's really not the flash you would want. Times change.
Camera Appraisal Help - The Photography Forum
Aug 15, 2023 · Agreed a local shop is you probably your best possibility. But that said, the ones 'near' me (there are 4 within about an hour drive) look at sold listings on ebay to get a general idea and adjust based on condition, accessories (all lens caps, box, etc.) so …
New uses for old cameras? - The Photography Forum
Apr 25, 2021 · Still, I love and miss my old film based SLR camera (I have a Minolta X-700 with motor drive and multi-function back). And there it sits, collecting dust. I mean even some of my earlier DSLR cameras are doing the same (a Sony camera that uses the mini discs to record the shots). I have an 8mm, a Hi8 and a Digital8 camcorder.
Are my cameras worth anything? | The Photography Forum
Jul 29, 2008 · I had a big pile of Minolta 35mm cameras/lenses in mint condition. When I considered selling them to finance my dSLR and started looking around, I found they were worth very little on the 2nd hand market.
