Audio and video sync issues after editing a recording
Oct 24, 2024 · It's almost like the video gets trimmed, but the audio doesn't. I've tried recording in different formats, using different editors (Quicktime and Shotcut) and exporting in different formats and every time it's the same. I've previously recorded directly through Quicktime using the same method and editing in the same way and not had an issue.
Question / Help Video files not opening in editing software - OBS
May 26, 2017 · However, now that I made the change, the files recorded with OBS Studio won't even open with my editing software! I use Sony Movie Studio 13.0 for all my video editing, and none of the files will load into it. I even tried opening up VLC and converting the .flv output into a .mp4 file. Still no luck. Help me fix this please.

Format. Details. AVC/H.264 (Default) H.264 is the default codec in OBS. It is fairly old (standardised 2004), but ubiquitous for web video and will be playable on nearly every device or software. For most streaming services it is currently the only supported codec. Excellent support in editing software. HEVC/H.265.
