First round of blood work: Is it typical to have 7 vials taken?
Jun 29, 2021 · 7 is very typical for first blood work, can be more, rarely less. Each vial is no more than 10ml, but more typically 4-7ml each. Some tests need their own vial whereas others can be 6 tests from the same vial so really depends what they’re looking for.

It wasn’t a fluke as the blood in another vial (for a test ordered by a different doc) was at 50. (I felt fine and had breakfast prior, FYI).

Did anyone do NIPT through UNITY (billion to one)
Jul 9, 2022 · Unity itself was quick, it was a miscommunication that made it such a long wait. Call their customer service line and they can tell you if they sent it/when they sent it or how much longer until it’s done. I called them on two separate occasions and was blown away by how nice their customer service reps were.

Oct 28, 2024 at 6:51 PM. 140/90 consistently is when you should call your doctor. This would include 120/90 and 140/80, if either number reaches that “limit”. If you do get a reading that’s on the higher end, definitely rest for 5-10 minutes and retake it.

agopal. Jun 18, 2021 at 6:06 PM. I’m going through this now - had blood drawn at 13 weeks, found out 2 weeks later not enough fetal DNA for sample. They redrew blood last week (15 weeks) and found out today it’s still not enough in sample. I have a doctor appt next week where I can do a third redraw or wait a little longer for anatomy scan.
