Oct 20, 2020 · I am having a Vestibular Nerve Section in 3 weeks. I’ve had Meniere’s for over 30 years with horrible spinning attacks on and off. I had a fistula repair and shunt 12 years ago. In January of the dreaded 2020 I started having drop attacks.

Dec 15, 2020 · Thanks for the encouragement. I’m unilateral and I’ve had shunt and laby surgery. My vestibular nerve began healing four years or so after the nerve section. I’m now twelve years post surgery and having nearly as much disruption as before. Thankfully I don’t get motion sickness so I don’t have to worry about throwing up.

Aug 22, 2023 · I did not have a vns but i did lose the hraring and balance nerve on the right side to acoustic neuroma surgery. What helped me rehab was walking. I walked with a walker til i could use a cane and then on my own but i walked and walked until i could ride a bike etc. just keep moving but of course pick safe places to walk.

Oct 16, 2007 · I was diagnosed 4 years ago and two years ago had VNS(Vestibular Nerve Section) surgery on the left side. As I was recovering the doctors told my husband I was not responding like they would like. Three months after the surgery I was still totally off balance. I was not having attacks, I was dizzy ALL the time. I am still the same!
