Feb 9, 2020 · Tyranny itself, the intellectual property, the franchise, all of it, is still owned by Paradox, and they hate the game. It hasn't made them nearly enough money, and Pillars 2 performed better anyway, so even if they try to make sequels with different developers, they're gonna focus on Pillars rather than Tyranny.

Oct 15, 2016 · The only RPG that ever had a half-decent romance sub-plot was Baldur's Gate 2, and that was over 18 years ago. I'll echo this sentiment. In my experience, a "romance" subplot in modern games almost always comes as a waste of effort and dialogue that might have gone towards better writing.
