For four years, Troy suffered from a progressively worsening hip. Despite being a high school basketball coach and teacher, he was finding it increasingly difficult to walk. In his 40s, he was in the best shape of his life, regularly exercising and watching his diet.

Troy Lee Thomas, Jr., 70, passed away peacefully in his sleep on his 70th birthday, Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in his home in Jamestown, ND. Troy was born to Troy Lee Thomas and Betty Jean Giddings on December 13, 1952 in Wichita, KS. He served in the US Army and also served in the National Guard. Troy worked in various jobs across the country.
