DIY: Downpipe and front pipe install - Diesel Place
Sep 3, 2011 · Here's the downpipe connected to the front pipe via the V-Band clamp. I left this loose so it would be a bit easier connecting the four flange bolts up to the rest of the exhaust. Here it is installed. Make sure everything is tight and the engine bay is clear. Start the engine and check for leaks.

Dec 3, 2006 · Allison flaring in shift. Hello group, I just discovered this site and am very impressive. I have a transmission question that I hope someone can give me some advice on. This shift issues occurs on the 3 to 4 gear change. On light acceleration the RPMs will flare up 2-300 hundred and the gear change is slow maybe a couple of seconds.

Jun 4, 2006 · 2003 GMC Duramax CrewCab. The systems can be charged on a pressure basis too, not just weight. For 134a low side should be 45-55 in 90 degree weather while high side is around 250 to 270. 105 degree weather is 50-55 psi low side, 340 to 345 psi high side.

Mar 24, 2011 · I forget the actual number, but there is a certain percentage of GVWR/GCWR recommended by Allison as the cut off point to make tow/haul worthwhile. I tow a hot tub trailer, and a enclosed race car trailer. The hot tub trailer itself weighs probably 800 lbs, and the biggest hot tub we sell is around 900-1000 lbs.

This will drive up the temperature in a controlled way and is OK to do if done correctly — like this: —Set emergency. —Trans in Drive with foot firmly on brake. —Run 1000 RPM for 30-45 seconds.

Jan 25, 2015 · 1-Sometimes the truck won't shift into reverse or drive, more often reverse is the problem. 2-Transmission will go into limp mode and stick in 3rd gear. 3-When coming to a dead stop, the truck will start lurching forward every couple of seconds or so. This doesn't happen every time but the majority.

Feb 5, 2010 · There was a band-aid to boost lube pressure to 40 psi starting with 2003's. You can retrofit these springs (blue lube reg spring) to 2001 and 2002's, but have to remove and partially disassemble the trans. This higher pressure helps to burp the air back into the lube system and not back into the pump.
