Tribes 2 has been around for over 20 years and people still play.
Nov 1, 2022 · Tribes 2 is and will probably always be one of my favorite FPS games that I have ever played. I loved Siege mode. In this mode, you would have to protect your generators which kept a forcefield up. The other team would try to take them down and then touch the switch. You would then have a chance to try and beat the other team's time.

Tribes, 2 and Vengeance are all FPS games similar to Quake/Unreal with the exception that you aren't limited to 2D movement. You can reach massive heights with vehicles, explosions and boosters and when I was a kid the Tribes line of games was so amazingly fun. Played on any non-gaming PC at the time as well. So no, nothing like Planetside.

Jan 25, 2024 · You need the disableLockedArrays.cs. put this in a file named disableLockedArrays.cs in your GameData\base\scripts\autoexec folder. I don't have direct experience. But usually the candidates are lighting settings, refresh rate mismatch with your monitor, and switching from OpenGL to DirectX mode.

Oct 24, 2021 · IMO tribes 2 is the greatest multi player shooter of all time. Till date I feel like no multiplayer shooter game has come close in terms of gameplay, controls, sound track, community, etc. Every new multiplayer shooter I still compare it to tribes 2. If anything many games are just catching up when it comes to vehicle combat.

Sep 17, 2021 · Tribes:Aerial Assault had a small player base still active last year but you'd be hard pressed to find an active game there. Original midair is pretty much completely dead. Midair:CE (tribes inspired game, light armor only) has the most active pug scene, and has daily pubs as well, but I'd say T2 still beats it as far as pub numbers goes.
