It’s just me and my wife but will I be able to use TLE for the time between reporting and house move in? Not too familiar with TLE and first time PCS. Thank you.

Jun 29, 2021 · TLE is a reimbursement. He will submit his travel voucher to finance office during in-processing along with the hotel receipts and he will get reimbursed. Only up to 10 days though.

May 21, 2023 · Those are separate benefits you can use concurrently. You get 10 days of permissive TDY in the form of house hunting, that's 10 days you don't go to work and is defined in your branch's leave regulation. You get 14 days of TLE and per diem as defined in the JTR.

Aug 3, 2021 · When tle finished I moved out of there and found a place for $55 a day. Bah wouldn't have covered the new hotel but it was much cheaper by over half, and my projected expense for hotel was only -$300 per month (1300 bah), compared to -$2,000 if you stay at a hotel at the govt rate.
