The Invaders is an American science-fiction television series created by Larry Cohen that aired on ABC for two seasons, from 1967 to 1968.

"The invaders" is the last great 1960's series and it is inspired by the "Invasion of the body snatchers" concept of conspiracy : science fiction + horror + reality = the fear of the unknown. One of the best show produced by Quinn Martin, including "The untouchables" and "The fugitive".

A series of mischances leads an alien to kill a human doctor, and get arrested in the small town of Carterville, Wyoming. His alien friends bungle his rescue, and the entire town sees him go up in red flames! Now, the entire town understands that aliens have come to Earth.

The Invaders live among us, maintaining their human guises with the help of a regeneration chamber. With the aliens embedded at all levels of human society and government, Vincent wanders the land seeking proof and allies. This classic 1967–68 series of sci-fi paranoia heavily influenced UFO culture and future series such as The X-Files.

The Invaders is an American Science Fiction TV show. The series, which was produced by Quinn Martin Productions (who made several other famous TV series of the time) for the ABC television network, premiered as a Midseason Replacement in January 1967.
