Walking - Visit Tarland
There are plenty of fantastic walks in and around the village of Tarland. The most popular local routes are: Alastrean Circular Walk, Corrachree Circular Walk, Drummy Woods and Stone Circle Walk and Pittenderich Circular Walk.
Tarland Trails - Visit Tarland
Tarland Trails can be found in Drummy Woods to the SW of the village. They are a set of mountain bike trails that opened to the public in 2015. They consist of a family Trail (blue), a technical run (red), big jump run (orange) and a large pump track.

The Tarland Way
The Tarland Way. The 10k (6miles) cycle/walking route between Tarland and Aboyne, called ‘The Tarland Way’ was officially opened on 23rd June 2011 by the Countess of Aboyne. The opening event was organised to encourage as many people as possible to walk or cycle the route from Aboyne to Tarland.
MacRobert Hall - Visit Tarland
The MacRobert Memorial Hall (The Tarland Hall to many) was built on the site of the former Cromar Hall in Tarland Square. Opened in 1953, it was gifted to the community by Lady MacRobert.

Tarland Development Group
Tarland Wetlands Group: This group was set up in 2018, initially to address the decline of breeding birds, particularly waders, in the Howe. Its vision is to develop a set of natural wetlands fitting within the farming system, for the benefit of wildlife, the environment and local people.
