Jul 26, 2022 · T-44-100 already has phenomenal soft stats on the gun, so I see the argument for running IAU instead and think it's perfectly valid. However, Type 59's soft stats are slightly worse and it's more suited for closer fights because of its turret, making Vstabs a non-negotiable for being able to get shots off on target quickly.

The T-44-100 has the best gun handling of the other 2 obtainable mid-front turreted Russian mediums. It has the best terrain resistances too, meaning it can turn on all terrains pretty fast. It can maintain its speed on the flat parts of maps, BUT its engine power is poor, so climbing hills will be worse than the other two tanks mentioned above.

Yet still T-44-100 is considered one of the best tier VIII premium tanks I really don’t think that’s the case anymore. I feel like the T-44-100 is fairly forgotten ever since the CS-52 Lis was added, which is similar but has 320 alpha, better pen and slightly better armor, at the cost of slightly worse mobility and gun handling.

Feb 15, 2022 · That is why I prefer the 122 myself. I might be trading some armor, but it still has enough armor that in most situations if something could pen the T-44 it can pen you, but things that can't pen the T-44 still have trouble penning the 122.

Apr 16, 2023 · T-44-100 is more mobile and has half the reload time. Has the same weakness as earlier T-34s, KVs and IS-1 & 2s: the turret cheeks. IS-3 is better armored, has very long reload time, ammo is everywhere (one penetration will most likely hit one.) T-44 if you want more laid back, calm gameplay / IS-3 if you want more aggressive close quarter combats.

Oct 2, 2022 · T-44-100 is my favorite tank in the whole game. I haven’t played the Obj 274a, but it looks like a slower, fatter T-44-100 with worse gun handling based on what you’ve said so far. What makes the T-44-100 special is the gun. Don’t trust the turret armor, that’s a meme. The T-44-100 is best when played like a Leopard 1.
