Ive bought them directly from Surefire, and from a guy I see at gun shows. Comes out at about $2 each by the box.

I work in the TV/Film industry and we are always up before sunrise and still working after sundown so a good flashlight is a necessary tool of the trade. The only downside to Surefire that I have experienced is the cost.

If you want to be able to use rechargeable batteries, Surefire sells rechargeable cr123 batteries separately, but battery life will be even shorter than the 2.5 to 3 hours you listed.
