I wrote my own version that's a bit more in line with my experiences and the experiences of people I know or have talked to. I know how cringe-worthy this must be. It's cool, I don't mind:

May 25, 2020 · Straight edge has nothing to do with not taking prescribed medications, porn, sugar or caffeine. You can do those things but those have nothing to do with straight edge. Periodt. Straight edge is about being the best you that you can possibly be, and that absolutely should include taking prescribed medications.

Straight Edge means you stay inline with legality and don't have chemical methods of escapism.. ADHD medication is legal for you to take and honestly NOT taking it, as a fellow person with ADHD, makes it more likely for me to seek out alcohol and drugs because without the order I get from my meds, the world is kind of a nightmare.

Being sober is just the absence of drugs and alcohol in your life. Straight edge is being stoked about being drug free, and generally just free. I guess it has a different meaning for different parts of your life.
