Make sure you're buying one that is sending you the actual steam key for said game, and not one that's sending you "account information". It's always sketchier purchasing the account ones bc all though they tend to be a little cheaper you have to login to steam with whatever account name and password they send you via email.

Mar 18, 2018 · As I understand, yes but also maybe not. A region lock's extent can change on a game by game basis. Some games are region locked so hard, you can't play them multiplayer between versions.

Dec 2, 2022 · Once, I heard that you can contact Steam Support to check if a key is legit and if a key still works. Maybe if you try to contact Steam Support asking which game the key redeems, they can tell you in a few days (1-3 days). It isn't fast, but it is safer and more private (since you think there are some questionable games among your keys).

Oct 18, 2022 · Yes there is, I recently used it. You have to open the app, click on Wallet in the top right, click on “redeem steam wallet code” and use the key there. It will say wallet updated or smthing like that but your game is now redeemed in your library

Jan 11, 2022 · Key activating a sketchy game - please note you'll be able to know what game you activated, and that most platforms verify the games submitted there, so if you're buying from a platform like Steam or GOG it's unlikely that'll you stumble upon such a game, and keep in mind that you'll be able to see whether the game has 0 or 10k reviews.
