Staffing-to-demand analysis is a method used to compare an individual practice’s current staffing levels to what is required to meet the specific patient demand of the practice. It helps answer questions such as how many staff are needed to deliver each service, what percentage of an FTE's time is required to deliver a service/product, and how workload in each service line would be impacted by changes in technology, policies, regulations, or customer base. It is used to create and analyze accurate scheduling requirements based on labor standards, volume forecast, and labor costs.
