Spore (Japanese: キノコのほうし Mushroom Spore) is a non-damaging Grass-type move introduced in Generation I. Prior to Generation III, it was the signature move of Paras and Parasect. Spore puts the target to sleep. In the Generation I handheld games only, Spore can affect a target behind a substitute.
