Apr 23, 2023 · Roads are great, expect to be dusty most of your trip. Areas North of Windhoek and Spitzkoppe are flooded with beggars on the side of the road who seem to specifically spot the tourist 4x4 rentals and are quite annoying tbh especially at gas stations and when doing groceries. (Expect to pay security to spot your vehicle while you shop)

Jan 8, 2023 · Spitzkoppe is recommended during the winter though as the humidity is at its lowest and the clarity of the constellations will keep you awake all night! Don’t bother bringing a tent haha

May 26, 2020 · I’m Namibian so it was just a local 3 hour drive to get to the Spitzkoppe. Namibia is a phenomenal trip though. Under normal conditions it’s easy to get to and relatively quick. Unless you are coming from the US. It’s also huge so if you are contemplating a trip here, give yourself enough time to explore the open and empty landscapes.
