Funnily enough theres an item you can get by giving dammon some inferrnal iron that adds an extra 1d4 fire damage to EVERY weapon attack regardless of whether or not karlach is raged, or you've used a soul coin. Not sure if this stacks with the soul coin 1d4. 1. Mercurionio.

BUGS. I cannot get (what I assume to be) the soul coin audio to stop. It is a loud, torturous scream that happens every 30 or so seconds. Sometimes there is a faint whispering. Sometimes there is what sounds like a baby crying. It is very frustrating to listen to. I've restarted my game multiple times and sent the soul coin from my inventory.

Soul coins & infernal iron if you don’t have Karlach
So do the coins. Dammon can make a small handful of items in act 2 from the infernal metals. It’s like 1 set of gloves, armor, and helmet. But I don’t know if having Karlach with you is required for him to agree. I don’t think that is from the infernal iron. I think that is from the adamant one slag.

The thing is literally designed to break demonic restrictions. The fact that the coins can ONLY be used to juice Karlach up removes all the interesting moral questions over using them.

Jul 26, 2021 · What do you think will be the purpose of Soul Coins in Baldur's Gate 3? I think they'll be used for purchasing "neutral" companions. Like there was this lizzard in DoS 2, which was letting you recruit mercenaries. But I think they'll cost Soul Coins in BG3 instead of gold.
