Mar 20, 2024 · Imagine the scenario where the XM5 is already 3 years old, the XM6 is one year old and people still buy the 5 years old XM4 because that was the overall best value product for the general public. Sony wants to regain its leading position and more importantly, they want the XM6 to sell really well.

Jan 14, 2024 · The Sony XM line are clearly so much better than competing headphones that once you've got a pair it becomes increasingly hard to make an upgrade that will be perceptible to the ordinary user. Do a listen test in a store before upgrading, that's what I'm going to do once the XM6's come out. Maybe wait for the wh-1000XM6.

Replaced the Batteries of my Sony WF-1000XM4 and I recommend it to everyone! Firmware 2.0.1. My Headphones suffered an insane battery drain after update 1.6.1. The update happened to destroy the batteries so bad that I couldn't even update to a newer firmware cuz the headphones would only last 15 min.
