Sep 25, 2023 · bouncyboatload. • 9 mo. ago. biggest difference is 45mp stacked sensor with z8 vs 61mp non stacked of a7rv. z8 have blackout free shooting and 20fps, RV is 10fps. if you shoot fast action like fast sports or birds z8 is probably better. for kids sports it prob doesn't make a difference. z8 is also physically bigger.

Nikon Z8 vs Sony A7IV For Bird/Wildlife Photography
I was in a similar boat couple of months back. I was choosing between Z8 and Sony a7r5. My reasons for Z8 was the fact that it was a flagship with a smaller battery, much better lens range for my needs (I got the 180-600), the 45 Megapixel offers great croppability and I honestly like the slightly bulky feel coming from a DSLR.
