Mar 7, 2024 · I’d also like to have a browser accesible version of sonic pi (district has similar limitations). If I’m remebering correctly sonic pi is mostly a website just packaged in an app (via a webview) that runs the servers need in the background with a lot of c++ glue for the app.

Oct 11, 2018 · Under most conditions, Sonic Pi is trivial to install and run. As we all know, a version has been part of the base Raspberry Pi install from the beginning. And it runs as a portable app on Windows. In other words, problem one is moot, for us. Famously, a huge amount of power is unleashed by Sonic Pi with two simplistic commands: play and sleep.

I have used orchestral samples for over 18 months now, and produced code in Sonic Pi to make it relatively easy to use the samples in the Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra There are more up to date sets of samples, but I found this very adequate for playing orchestral pieces with Sonic PI.

Apr 20, 2020 · Definitely in the past macOS did some fancy re-routing of the audio do using the internal speakers or headphones interchangeably with Sonic Pi whilst running worked well. This might have changed recently or perhaps is only supported on certain Apple hardware. However, the general point of Sonic Pi binding to one OS-level audio device still holds.
