In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics, the Badniks are the robot army that serves as the military backbone of Dr. Ivo Robotnik's empire and later the Eggman Empire for over a decade.

Dr. Eggman isn't as physically adept as Sonic (although he's surprisingly fast himself), so he combats his nemesis with his army of "badniks", pretty much evil robots. These guys range from lowly dime-a-dozen baddies to one-of-a-kind super robots able to give Sonic a run for his money.
