  1. There are four standard bit sizes for screwdrivers, each with a different use1:
    • 1 4 mm: Used for delicate electronics and very fine mechanics, such as watches and laptops.
    • 1/4″ (6.35 mm): The most widely-used standard.
    • 5/16″ (about 8 mm, more precisely about 7.94 mm): Used for hard and heavy work.
    • 3/8″ (about 10 mm, more precisely about 9.52): Used for heavy machinery.
