Nov 26, 2023 · The P229 was originally designed for the .40 S&W cartridge, and later versions were slightly redesigned to better fit the 9mm Luger. Older ones will have a different magazine well, and use slightly different magazines. Thus they are designated P229 versus P229-1. The .40 S&W caliber slides have a wider breech face.

She goes nicely with my P229 Nickel 2004 GOTM no rail version. I know some of you guys don’t like rails but I really like the way this gun looks. She feels great and these Sig grips aren’t half bad.

Looking at a P226 40 cal Tactical Ops. | SIG Talk
Oct 6, 2024 · It comes with the OG Box and all 4 Mags. I Looked for the P226 40 cal for along time and they are priced at $700.00 up to $900.00 for a P226 40 cal if not more. I don't know anything about Sig's Tactical Ops guns but would give it a try. If this a good price for the gun. That would depend on the condition. The P226 is a great gun in any caliber.
Sig P229R serial number lookup

I was curious of the date of manufacture for both; both are all US made, not German Frame model. First one starts with serial number ADU095##; and the second with serial number AGU019##. Any info on both would be great.
