It seems to be under the skin and can be really felt if you pinch and pull the skin lightly on the area between shoulder blade. The texture is a bit soft, but still solid. She doesn't seem to react when the lump is touched, not even annoyed.

Jun 25, 2017 · Our 11 yr old kitty Maceo seemed to have 'suddenly' developed a large, hard growth on the left side of his neck, almost as if it's on top of the upper part of the shoulder blade. It is *not* between the shoulder blades or on the jaw. - It is rounded, and looks as if someone stuck a golf ball under his muscle.

If the pill is extra bitter, we roll the inside of the pill pocket (and a tiny bit of the outside) in Fortiflora and stick it on the treat. Alternatively, we coat the pill in unsalted or clarified butter, then pill pocket, then treat.

If it can't heal, watch her closely for signs of gangrene, or deterioration and have the leg amputated if she regains use of the other.

Jun 4, 2017 · My cats obtained fleas from visiting relative's dog Nov 2016. My boy Floki quickly developed a bald patch between his shoulder blades. (One of his littermates also developed one, though smaller.) Neither had had been treated with flea medication when these spots developed. It eventually cleared up as the fleas were treated.

Merely just hoping to get an idea of what it is so I can either cat proof my place or look out for the caused situation and prevent it from happening again.

He loves to drape himself across our shoulders and lick our ears/heads. Cats like to be in high places, so it's not surprising that many prefer to ride around on shoulders.
