The test has 120 questions frame to determine if you are proficient in all aspects. It may take 7 questions or it make take 20 questions to determine that. I hear and I forget.

Feb 12, 2012 · Most pulse-less trauma patients present as a PEA or asystole arrest. rather than the shockable rhythms of VF of pulseless VT. If you look at the pathophysiology behind traumatic arrests usually from (hypovolemic shock, head injury, tension pneumothorax or pericardial tomponade) you can understand why resus attempts in the field are almost futile.
Pulseless torsades - EMTLIFE
May 31, 2014 · People commonly have non sustained torsades. Sustained torsades will eventually become pulseless do to lack of adequate ventricular filling just like most sustained VT. I would not classify Torsades as PEA because it commonly presents without a pulse. On a side note, Torsades is classified as polymorphic VT in the setting of prolonged QT.

Pulse-check after AED-shock? - EMTLIFE
May 18, 2011 · The AED is designed to detect if the rhythm is a shockable one. If there is a pulse then the AED would detect the organised electrical activity and recommend "No Shock Advised, Check Patient" In essence, it was determined that doing CPR on a heart that is just getting itself started again has a better patient outcome.
