NGD -- Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin P-90 - The Gear Page
Jun 15, 2023 · A few months of research -- demo'ing when possible -- led me to the Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin models. Taught my kids acoustic guitar on Seagull S6s -- so have background with and respect for the Godin family of guitar brands. Some buddies have spoken highly of various Godin electrics in their stables, although none played a Kingpin.
First 'nice' acoustic: Seagull vs Yamaha - The Gear Page
Mar 29, 2020 · I think that that price range is not very good bang for the buck. I‘d rather spend $1700-2000 for a used guitar like a Martin D-18 or 0-18 or something like that. I’d hate to sink $1000 or more into a guitar that was not potentially a lifetime keeper. Besides, truly cheap guitars are so much better now than they used to be.

Jan 19, 2012 · so about 16 years ago my uncle gave my dad this seagull acoustic guitar (around 350 bucks et the time). my uncle died so i have absolutely no interest in selling it, but i just wanted a list price. the things in completely mint condition and sounds great (i …
Help me choose a jazz hollowbody...(Epiphone or Ibanez)
Jun 26, 2023 · I wound up purchasing a Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin P90 and have been very happy with my choice. Truly an arch top in feel -- very much a Godin/Seagull acoustic guitar feel with a pickup (in this case, a surprisingly sweet P90). Liked it a …
I received a Seagull S6 from Guitar Center for Christmas...
Dec 30, 2017 · I went back to Guitar Center and was presented three options: 1. Return guitar for a full refund 2. They would order me a brand new one and I would wait 3. They could give me 10% off Very reasonable - I took the 10% off. However, the more I think about it, the more I want to be the one adding "character" to my guitar.
Gibson and a Seagull - which one should I keep? - The Gear Page
Dec 8, 2017 · The Seagull is louder, bigger, easier to play and in better condition but the Gibson is pretty old and has some chips on the head. I would love some opinions from seasoned guitar players on how nice these guitars are so I can make a choice. I play cello and have remained ignorant, but google leads me to believe they are pretty good guitars.
NGD - Seagull Entourage Grand (Parlor Acoustic) - The Gear Page
Jun 28, 2021 · NGD - Seagull Entourage Grand (Parlor Acoustic) I bought this lovely instrument about a month ago and I’ve been having loads of fun with it ever since. I haven’t owned an acoustic for a few years and had never previously owned a small bodied one. When I started playing guitar about a decade ago, my first guitar was a dreadnought.
Last time you bought a guitar…. - The Gear Page
Apr 5, 2023 · Built a kit (tele style) guitar last year. Before that it was about 8 years ago, a Seagull S6 acoustic, and before that a Washburn J4 about 15 years ago. I don't buy often anymore. In the 80's and 90's I was buying and selling almost monthly. I have, however, bought and sold about a dozen pedals over the last year, but all under $100.
NGD: 1975 BC Rich Seagull - The Gear Page
Apr 12, 2017 · The guitar plays well, with wide, medium height frets like 90s Gibsons. The neck isn't a bat but is thickish and quite a flat fingerboard. The basic tone is very sustaining, warm and not too bright. With the preamp it can get very loud, and crunches even a bit on its own. Since there aren't individual pickup volumes, the phase is somewhat ...
Money better spent - electric or acoustic guitar? - The Gear Page
Feb 28, 2010 · I sold some gear and have about $1500 to spend (not that I need to spend all of it). I currently have an Am. Std. Strat and a 1991 Takamine acoustic. I've been jamming occasionally on electric guitar with my old band and playing the local coffee house once every few months - but nothing crazy...
