Jun 19, 2024 · Feeling a bit traumatized and freaked out right now, haha. I know nursing school is demanding, but coming from a strong science background (was hoping to become a chemical engineer but changed my mind midway), I'm used to juggling heavy coursework. Still, can't help but feel a little -very- nervous!

The School of Nursing does not accept transfer students from external institutions, you must already be a Rutgers student (in another school, like SAS, SEBS) to apply for a school-to-school transfer. Even so, the School of Nursing accepts very few transfer students, so this is not a safe/viable option for those not accepted as freshmen.

Yup. I worked in both public and private higher education before going into nursing and honestly the support that private schools provide (because they want to keep your money) is worth it in itself.

You're also seeing a minority since many people go through nursing school without break downs or needing to study 22 hours a day. We seem to get this question a lot when people come on here and read all of these scary stories of nursing school. That is not the average experience. Sometimes nursing school sucks and sometimes it doesn't.

Mar 10, 2022 · Depending on the school system some have health aids for day to day stuff. Also weirdly the teachers weren’t very respectful of my role. I left fast.
