The Santa Monica Housing Authority (SMHA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 1, 2020, until further notice. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in January, 2017.

SMHA administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, which provides housing assistance payments to private landlords on behalf of income-eligible individuals and families.
