The Roger Williams Park Conservancy is a nonprofit partner to the City of Providence Parks Department and works to boost, amplify and support all of Roger Williams Park and the park venues. The Conservancy’s mission is to sustain and enhance Roger Williams Park as a vibrant public space for all.

Roger Williams Park is located on the border of south Providence and the Edgewood neighborhood of Cranston. The Park’s main entrances are on Elmwood Avenue and Broad Street in Providence and Park Avenue in Cranston.

Long before the Botanical Center opened in 2007, the Parks Department greenhouses were on Park Avenue but were demolished as part of constructing Rhode Island Route 10. To plan your next visit to the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center visit their website.

The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium was designed to serve its role as the most prominent institution in the Park. Providence architects Martin and Hall used a grand French Chateau style, and the building’s striking yellow brick façade on this prominent hillside to inspire visitors to what was originally to be an art museum.
